The beating of a heart of a child who is yet to be born. As a podcaster, I had heard voices of all sorts of kinds. People laughing, animals praying in delight, dogs barking, music, raindrops, sounds of delight, anger, fear, frustration, suspense, drama. Every conceivable emotion I probably had heard and heard it several times. But this one distinct sound was something I was least expecting to affect me the way it did. It triggered a series of emotions within me.


My first thought was, this is the sweetest sound I have heard. next i began to think what was each of this beat trying to tell me or trying to tell the whole world was this little one trying to scream in their own way and tell oh what an awesome mother that I have Fantastic lady Or maybe the child thought Hey, my father isn't too bad at all. Yeah, he may be not what I expected, but it's okay. The emotions probably were somewhere in between. The sound that I heard for the first time The heartbeat When our child who was yet to be born Was hardly seven weeks old It was a heart that would stop beating abruptly A few weeks later The heartbeat The sound still resonates in my head The emotions still pour out every time I listen to that 12-second audio. It was a sound that will remain just what it was. An audio file sitting somewhere in my computer.
