വൈക്കം മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീർ എഴുതിയ ഒരു മലയാള നോവലാണ് ന്റുപ്പൂപ്പാക്കൊരാനേണ്ടാർന്ന്. 1951-ലാണ് ഈ നോവൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്. മുസ്‌ലിം സമൂഹത്തിൽ നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന അന്ധവിശ്വാസങ്ങൾക്കെതിരിലുള്ള ഒരു കടന്നാക്രമണമായി ഈ നോവൽ മാറുകയുണ്ടായി. ഈ വെളിച്ചത്തിനെന്തു വെളിച്ചം എന്ന ബഷീറിന്റെ വിഖ്യാതമായ പദപ്രയോഗം ഈ നോവലിലാണുള്ളത്. തങ്ങളുടെ കുറവുകൾ മറയ്ക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി ആളുകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ പോയകാല പ്രതാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഊറ്റം കൊള്ളുന്നതിനെ കളിയാക്കാനായാണ് ബഷീർ ന്റുപ്പൂപ്പാക്കൊരാനേണ്ടാർന്ന് എന്ന പേരിലൂടെ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്. 'ആന ഉണ്ടാർന്ന' തറവാട്ടിലെ കാരണവത്തിയായതിനാൽ പട്ടിണിയാണെങ്കിലും മെതിയടിയിട്ട് തത്തി തത്തി നടക്കുന്ന ഉമ്മയെ ഈ നോവലിലെ പ്രധാനകഥാപാത്രമായ മകൾ കുഞ്ഞിത്താച്ചുമ്മ അത് 'കുയ്യാന' (കുഴിയാന) ആയിരുന്നു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പരിഹസിക്കുന്നത് ഈ നോവലിൽ നമുക്ക് കാണാം.

Basheer was born on January 21, 1908 in Thalayolaparambu (near Vaikom) Kottayam District, to Kayi Abdurahman, a timber merchant, and his wife, Kunjathumma as their eldest child. The Panchatantra is a series of inter-woven fables, many of which deploy metaphors of anthropomorphized animals with human virtues and vices. According to its own narrative, it illustrates, for the benefit of three ignorant princes, the central Hindu principles of nīti.
The Panchatantra was originally written in Sanskrit language and it constitutes five books. There are 84 stories and also many interpolated fables in it.
The stories of the `Panchatantra' offer us the possibility of making our lives richer and more meaningful. Through the wisdom of its fables the `Panchatantra' offers a vision of ourselves, warts and all. In so doing, it makes us aware of the fact that solutions lie within ourselves.
The Price of Discretion is very good bedtime story for kids and the moral is that don't try to act smart always.

Todd is a Major in the army. He is also the narrator's friend and had borrowed a dollar from the narrator a year ago.
The narrator had lent his friend Todd a dollar which the latter has forgotten to pay back. ... He does not give a reason for it except that there are quite a few of his other friends too who owe him a dollar and have forgotten about it
The moral of the story is that small or big, one should return the money owed to others. That amount may be important for the lender. Further, it gives a great pain to the lender, if the borrower totally forgets about money borrowed. An honest man remembers the help done by friends.

Johnsy sees the last leaf as a symbol of her hold on life; when it falls to the ground she thinks that she too will “go sailing down, down, just like one of those poor tired leaves.” By contrast, both Sue and their downstairs neighbor Mr. Behrman deny that the leaf has any symbolic value at all.
The chief message that this story gives is the spirit of sacrifice we need to have in our life. The old artist, Behrman sacrificed his life so that Johnsy could live. In this process, he also achieved his ambition of painting a masterpiece. The other message is that we should have a positive attitude in life
